Oleg Dobrotin was born in Moscow on April 5, 1983. He started to attend music lessons at the age of six. In 1999, he graduated from the children’s music school No. 33 named after Glazunov, teacher — Larisa Grigoryevna Banis; in 2003 — Gnesin State Musical School (now College), class of Valery Petrovich Gusakov, and in 2008 — Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, class of Igor Viktorovich Syroezhkin.
During the years of training at Gnesin School he became interested in jazz music. In 2003, he met Sergey Manukyan, and under his guidance, he engaged in jazz improvisation. Oleg started his first jazz band, consisting of accordion, guitar, bass and drums. The band performed at many venues in Moscow, including the House of Composers.
In 2005, Oleg together with saxophonist Vyacheslav Matveev started jazz band “JARA”. The band played traditional jazz, performed in restaurants, clubs, at exhibitions and corporate events.
In 2007-2008, he was participating in the project of blues singer Mikhail Mishouris “Mishouris blues band”. Together with the band he went on a tour of Novosibirsk, Tula, Yaroslavl.
Since 2008, he, together with Anton Silkin, has performed as part of the accordion duo “ACCORDION PARTY” focused on modern dance music.
Today Oleg Dobrotin is a very popular accordionist. He performs solo, as part of various ensembles, takes part in recording of music for movies and various musical projects.
The accordionist also performs as part of his own jazz trio (accordion, bass, drums), which continues the tradition of accordion jazz performance of Art Van Damme, Frank Marocco, Vladimir Danilin. Musicians play both popular jazz standards and their own compositions.
Since 2011, Oleg Dobrotin is an official endorser of VICTORIA ACCORDIONS. He plays the exclusive accordion whose body is made of wood VICTORIA POETA PIUMA 42 keys.
In June 2012, Artservice Company released the debut CD by Oleg Dobrotin “CRAZY GIRL” which has ten author’s compositions.
Since 2013, Oleg Dobrotin is soloist of the orchestra Ministry of Justice.
